What I Wore: Wildwod Flowers

glasses: Coastal / necklace: HandPicked / pants: Dress Barn / blazer, boots, shirt: thrifted
Is anybody else out there on the quest for perfect pants? Is there a rule somewhere that states, "Jeans shalt not fit at home the way they fit in the store"? Seriously though— it's pants like these that make me wish I had the skills of Miss Lady Bird so I could sew all my own clothes. . . Actually, I'd settle for just sewing my own pants! I start the day by practically jumping up and down to get into them but by the night I feel like these babies are just going to fall down to my knees! Oh, the ungodly amount of money I would pay for a pair of great pants . . .
Anyway, besides my ill-fitting pants epidemic (pantsdemic? anyone? no? didn't think so!), I'm pretty much ready for Spring over here. I've been wearing this floral blazer on days it's cool enough for a light jacket and I can't even count the number of times people tell me it looks like their grandmother's couch— which is prettyyyy much a great compliment in my book.
Besides the blazer, my favorite part of this outfit has to be my new glasses! I went to the eye doctor for the first time in about seven years and then hopped online to order these beauties from Coastal. I seriously can't imagine a more perfect pair of cat eyes for a vintage loving gal such as myself! Maybe one day I will have a pair in every color!

What is everybody up to this week?! At work I'm photographing lots of new marshmallow flavors for the upcoming month and at home I'm trying to finish cleaning up my studio so I can start production on inventory for my Etsy shop! I'm really excited and I can't wait to share more details about all of this soon! I hope your week is filled with fun + creative endeavors!

  1. All of my jeans are deteriorating rapidly. The thighs dissolve in a matter of weeks. I can't find a pair that can handle my voluptuousness. I too would pay an ungodly amount for the perfect pair.

    1. the crotch never fits me right. and the knees get baggy. . . . i only wanna wear tights + dresses but that is just not the best option for working in a kitchen. if i ever find the perfect pair then i am getting like ten of them!

  2. Pants are tricky little beasts. I don't know if you're 10000% against jeans in any shape or form, or if you just haven't found ~the one~, but I realllly like my pair from Imogene + Willie. They were like $250 after taxes (ouch!), but I've seriously never owned a better fitting pair of pants before - not to mention they don't stretch out hideously by the end of the day. Plus they're made here, and you know how I feel about that shizz :) I ended up throwing away all my other jeans. Ain't nobody got time for ill-fitting clothes!

  3. Don't get me up on my pants soap box! I just want to find a pair of affordable jeans/pants that don't have whiskering or holes in them. It's nearly impossible. But only nearly because I have successfully found a couple of pairs. But it's such a headache (and I hate clothes shopping).

P.S. Your glasses are SUPER cute on you.

  4. I only have one pair of jeans that I wear anymore and that's because they're like 99.9% spandex. I'm glad it's not just me who is having pants problems!

  5. I used to live in my jeans, I had choosing the right ones down to a fine art. But now that I've been wearing leggings/tights for the past couple of years, my choice of jeans is horrendous :( I hate pants!

  6. I love your glasses. Possibly because I have the same pair in the passionfruit color. I think Adrienne at What Lola Wants has them too in the orange Pekoe color. They must be a local blogger favorite!
