Handmade Marshmallows: An Unexpected Life Change

I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving! Today I just wanted to share some great news with you— I quit my job at the cupcakery to work for a local, all-natural, handmade marshmallow company that just started up! I'm now an official mallower, recipe tester, food stylist, and social media guru for Kerfluffles Marshmallows. My favorite part? This:

"No weird chemical stabilizers or low-quality ingredients bought for value instead of taste. No shortcut, industrial-strength flavor extracts either: if a marshmallow is supposed to taste like lemons, it will have fresh lemon juice and zest in it. Vanilla flavor will come from actual vanilla beans; coffee flavor from quality, fresh-brewed espresso."

Now that's my kind of marshmallow.
Everything about this job is as wonderful as it sounds! It's a huge change and has already proven to be both challenging and rewarding. My boss, Spring Barnickle (what an awesome name, right?!), is an artist, blogger, foodie, and kindred positive spirit. We hit it off the moment we met and my life hasn't been the same since.
I can fill you in on all the details later— there are so many pictures to come! But I just wanted to pop in and share this fabulous bit of news with you. So if I'm not here as much as usual or a little slower responding to emails, then just know it's because I'm finally spending each day doing something I absolutely love.
Either that, or my hands are literally full of marshmallows! You can read all about our wonderful beginning on Kickstarter here or peep the website here to order our yummy marshmallows. Thanks for sharing the excitement with me!

(PS: Don't worry— I'm still a styling assistant for Stockroom Vintage on the side! I wouldn't give that up for the world.)
